This Japanese Obi Belt is made of genuine shiny waterproof patent leather in very deep purple aubergine. Left raw and very natural looking.

Once again my love of things Japanese is a major inspiration for this design. Historically the Japanese Obi belt was worn by women as a way to close the many robes in decorative kimonos. By men they were worn with the hakamas (samurai pants).
