This is what is called an LV grain that has the deep horizontal striations found in their Epi line. Because this is a stiffer leather, the straps are made very narrow to enable them to have a bit of drape. This is a gorgeous lipstick red.

Once again my love of things Japanese is a major inspiration for this design. Historically the Japanese Obi belt was worn by women as a way to close the many robes in decorative kimonos. By men they were worn with the hakamas (samurai pants).
