The Japanese Obi Belt is made of genuine leather in a deep Bold Java color. I left this one raw and very natural looking. I didn't want to take anything away from the gorgeous grain of the smooth grain leather. With leather don't expect perfection. Those imperfections are what make distinct leathers the most expensive and sought after in the industry.

Once again my love of things Japanese is a major inspiration for this design. Historically the Japanese Obi belt was worn by women as a way to close the many robes in decorative kimonos. By men they were worn with the hakamas (samurai pants).
